A series of accolades for North East Lincolnshire Council
Our team has supported North East Lincolnshire Council since 2015 with entries for a variety of public sector awards and they have been on the shortlist every year. In 2019 all four of the entries we wrote feature on the shortlist – an amazing achievement!
In 2017 we wrote the entry which won the council the prestigious Children’s Services Award at the LGC Awards and in 2018 they were delighted to be shortlisted for Council of the Year in both the LGC and MJ Awards.
The communications team at North East Lincolnshire uses the LGC entries we write as the basis for their MJ Awards submissions, helping the local authority on to the shortlist for Council of the Year in 2018, for Digital Transformation in 2017 and for Care and Health Integration in 2016.
Head of Communications for North East Lincolnshire, Iain Lovell, said: “The support we get from Awards Writers frees up my team to deal with their already extensive to-do lists, while ensuring we have experts to support us with our award entries.
“We have consistently made it on to national shortlists as a result Awards Writers’ input, which is no mean feat for a small council like ours.
“We were especially delighted last year to be named on the shortlist for Council of the Year in both of our sector’s most prestigious awards alongside some other very forward-thinking local authorities.
“As well as putting us in the sector’s the national spotlight, being recognised as finalists has also benefitted us as an employerhelping build on our staff’s existing sense of pride of working for a dynamic local authority doing brilliant work to break the mould and deliver our services differently, but in the best way for our residents.”
