West Kirby School

When West Kirkby School wanted to reward their team’s commitment and expertise by entering them into the Pearson Teaching Awards, they turned to Awards Writers for support.

West Kirby School and College is a specialist school for pupils with social communication difficulties whose language and communication needs often present as social and emotional needs too.

We were delighted (and more than a bit humbled) to work on the project, crafting four entries for their incredible team.

When the results came out, one nominee had been named a silver winner, with the chance of being upgraded to gold at a special ceremony later in the year. Two others were awarded certificates of excellence.

The Pearson Teacher of the Year Awards receive thousands of nominations each year. They are among the most prestigious awards in education, and a brilliant way to recognise the hard work and dedicate of teachers and support staff.

Operations director Luke Cowell said: “The Awards Writers team helped us craft a story to highlight how incredible the people are that we have here at West Kirkby School.

“Going through the process was a great way to reflect on each of their achievements, and the end result was a brilliant record that left us able to celebrate our amazing team and how they support our pupils and families, regardless of the results.”
