We’ve been working with NHS Employers since 2017, first delivering in-person award writing training, then moving to delivering online when the pandemic hit. NHS Employers is keen to encourage those working in health and care to share and promote their standout workforce projects with others, and supporting teams and individuals to do this through our bespoke awards training has been key.
To date, we’ve trained more than 350 people who work for a wide range of NHS organisations in roles as diverse as HR, organisational development, transformation, research, communications, and international recruitment as well as those working on the clinical front line.
We’ve maintained the online training format as feedback told us it was more convenient for delegates than travelling to attend a workshop. There’s been no change in people’s perception of the quality of the training since the change.
To accompany the training we wrote the NHS Employers Guide to Writing Award Entries, which we refreshed in 2022 with interviews with judges and winners from across the health sector.
And we’ve just filmed a video with tips for people preparing for the presentations round of an awards process, which will be broken down into bite-sized tips for social media, and available as evergreen content for NHS Employers members.
